Crisis of morals.

I'm having difficulty deciding on my first PPCing. I was planning to do Peach Blossom Morning, because it has a simple, flaming Mary Sue, character vanishment, and improbable genetics. But.
The parts of the story without the Mary Sue in it are decently written, in-character, and don't break any major rules. Spell-check has been used, and the story is grammatically correct. The author isn't as horribly bad as she could be, by any means.
On the other hand, look at the charge list:
-Chronological aberration
-Implausible geneology
-Narrative impossibility
-Character rupture (Kinomoto Touya)
-Competance reduction (Kinomoto Sakura)
-Character vanishment (warned) (Li Meiling)
-Character vanishment (spontaneous) (Tsukishiro Yukito)
-Guardian creation
-Clow Card redundancy
-Card Captor redundancy
-Interference with a canon romance (Touya/Yukito)
-Conspiracy to create uncanon pairing (Eriol/Tomoyo)
-Conspiracy to character vanishment (Mizuki Kaho)
-Conspiracy to create OC romance (Touya/OC, Kero/OC)
-Punctuation aberrations (quotes)
Plus side:
-Character maintenance (Kinomoto Sakura, Li Syaoran, Daidouji Tomoyo, Cerberus)
-Correct spelling (for the most part)
-Command of English language
-Unusual OC romance (Kero/OC)
I think I'll give her a review, explaining what I'm going to do and advising her to stick with the canonical characters. It makes me feel a bit guilty, but you don't often see a classic Mary Sue like this in CCS (you get a lot of Canon-Sues instead).
Still. Guilt.
ETA: Sent in concrit review--if she gives me one good reason why I shouldn't (and, as I told her, finding me an even more outrageous Sue to kill is a very good reason indeed), then I won't. Feel slightly less guilty now.
