Announcement:

Euripides/Me=OTP!!!!11 I just read through Alcestis, The Medea, The Heracleidae, and Hippolytus, and I think I'm in love. I'm now even more of a classics fangirl than before, if that's possible. He wrote the best female characters in the history of the world.

Also, Medea r0xx0rs. That's simply the only word for it. And she's sympathetic. I already wanted to rip Jason's intestines out and feed them to him, but now...She's just so cool. Plus, she gets to drive a dragon chariot. Wai~!

The Snape voice in my head refuses to say if he knows what poison she used on Jason's bride. I think he does. Note to self: Accept no gifts from Snape.

Also, Smallville:

This is why I read the Medea. Lillian=Medea. Therefore, Lillian=teh kewl. The Lex-angst was just beautiful. Also, only one Lana scene, and no Clunky at all!

Lex=Anti-hero, Clark=Anti-villain. What else do you call someone who goes to his alleged friend's worst enemy behind his back, all so that the friend won't remember a secret? Dunno about you, but that's not *my* hero. Lex is being the hero--he went into the Medical Facility O'Doom for someone he didn't even know. Clark refused to go in for his best friend.

I think Lex is a Christ figure even more than he was. Because, taking the blame for Julian's death on his mom's behalf? Tres Savior.

Lex is my god. Clark is scum. Lionel is still the Devil. They are the only characters worth mentioning in this ep. (Fangirl pandering!) Such is life.

That's all for now, except I've started work on a fantasy novel-type thing. And this week's Tsukiminechallenge rocks my socks.

Yes, Medea was and still is one hell of a character, she's amazing and Jason should have seen it coming, I mean, you don't just go and cheat on the woman who pretty much gave up everything for you, ass, men, what do they know half the time.
As for Lex, I haven't seen that much of Smallville but I always liked Lex when I did watch it, so I can only agree with you.
And good luck with your little novel.

You realise your comments are going to make me go to the bookstore (*again*) just to get these books, right? Stop making me spend money! I don't have that much!

And Medea rocks in any which way, from what I've read/seen of that play...must go and finish it...

What's the fantasy novel-type thing about?

Medea is my new G(r)eek mythology idol.

*smirks* It's all my diabolical plan to make you spend your money so I feel richer in comparison. Hah!

It's allegedly about gods and priests and saving the world and stuff, but I haven't gotten that far. I'm still working on the prologue. Ooh, idea! Snatch of song to make Lin more recognizable from Prologue to Ch. 1!

Basically, I have no plot. I need to remedy that.

Ah, yes. I have a number of stories with fascinating back-stories and no plot. I even have some that have the back-story, characters, and an inkling of plot, but will not go down onto paper or computer. I think those are the most annoying of the lot.

Well, thing is, I have a character who's really quite well-rounded and I've spent some serious time on. She was my inspiring character. Then I have her sidekick, about whom I know nothing except that he's a very inside-the-box person, while she is very not. I also have at least one god who's secretly making my main character want to go somewhere. I do not know why, or what she will find. In another snippet, there's a rather stuck-up elf who looks down her nose at humans. Her utter opposite is her cousin, a half-elf whose family was killed by his mother's elvish people for some deep-seated cultural reason. I do not know why or how these people will end up with my heroine. And I'm only halfway through the prologue.
