cygna_himeFinished the Tsukiminefic. Still have to type it. I don't really like the way it came out, and I think Touya might seem OOC, but it's what I have. Trouble is, it started out as a one-shot idea and has now metamorphosed into a continuation idea. This is bad, as I have too many long stories already.
On the subject of which, I have my first Sailor Moon fic idea in the last six months. Trouble is, there are two of them. And they look to be pervasive. *mutters* Stupid Kunzite, stupid Zoicite, stupid brain with stupid ideas...
The Briseis fic is at about five pages and growing. Of the first chapter. And I have no idea when I'll reach a good stopping place. Also, much as I regret to say it, the tongue-lashing is not going to happen. Briseis' character has, by this point, evolved away from it. Also, I can't write dialogue to save my life.
I still want to write Dragaera femslash. Of course, I want to write slash as well. I must consider in more depth Dragaeran ideas of love and marriage. Bah. I blame everything on the Maternal Unit and the article she dug up on Classicslash, with its citations of how the ties of ClosePersonalFriendship were supposed to make the army stronger, because men would be fighting beside their lovers. It got all tempting on me. Now, if I had an actual plot idea...
I should probably write a Chosen fic, since this fandom of one has appearances to keep up. I have to read The Promise first, though. Library visit impends...
On sort of that subject, it's Passover! Seder(the shortshort version) was last night. Reuven and Danny did the long service, and have rather severe hangovers. I think they added a couple extra cups of wine to theirs.
The cat's nickname is now Elijah. 'Open the door for Elijah!' 'Close the door for Elijah!' 'Open the door--' Yeah. I am *so* crushed by the leavened bread ban. Not. I don't eat bread anyway.
*sigh* That's all for now. A change of batteries in my CD player calls.
Today's Goal: Finish stinkin' chapter of Briseis/set up plot for SMfic.

yes, I was looking at the TS friends page again
Date: 2004-04-06 02:25 pm (UTC)I started writing seriously because I had a chance to attend a Writer's Weekend with both Mercedes Lackey and *Steven Brust*, who I have had a special place for since To Reign in Hell. But I got cold feet because all I had were scribbles of figments of ideas, and I didn't want to look like a scary fan in writer's clothing. Hoping that the next time my friend Manya gets me in on such a thing, I'll have some work done on my original stuff.
