*yawn* Happy New Year's Eve, y'alls. At least, that's what it is around here.

Dad's birthday party was last night. We gave him swords, and a box to put them in so the airport gorillas can't ruin his blades. Also Kevlar knickers. Don't look at me like that! They're FIE standard! I didn't make the rules!

I feel I showed unnecessary restraint and good manners last night, inasmuch as I did NOT turn around and say, "Do you have a medical problem making it difficult for you to understand social custom? No? Then you should know that it is NEVER appropriate to get someone's attention by PULLING THEIR HAIR!" to a guest. And no, "It's just so pretty, I can't resist," is not an excuse. Rapists use that excuse. Don't touch my hair.

But I didn't say that at any point. Instead, I put up with it and talked about battleaxes to Mr. W. I'm always glad when he comes to parties, because that means there's someone there of my (mental) age. I want a battleaxe for my birthday.

I have an actual social schedule today. How odd. Ami--party tonight, yes? Should I bring cookies/sci-fi schows?
