Tuesdays, fortunately, are much better.
Dec. 20th, 2005 06:30 pmOr at least, right up until I slipped and fell down the stairs. Fortunately, I did slip, not trip, and it was only about six steps, but still: ow. Miraculously, neither of the cups I was holding broke. Definitely a good day.
I want the entire school library boxed and sent around to my house. I can send back the books I don't want. I got out a whole bunch of nonfiction books, mostly about interesting mental problems and other such medical stories. I find such books fun. Shush. I also discovered a book called "Official WTF Taekwondo". I kid you not, that was the title. Yes, it did really stand for World Taekwondo Federation or something, but still! (OMGWTFTaeKwonDo!)

Naoi/Neutral Fan! Congratulations~!

1. "Naoi" makes 0 sense. WTF is that an acronym for? Not Asinine Or Insane?
2. Perhaps even yuri? I sense discrimination here! Yuri fans really do exist--I don't think there was an option to be one, though.
3. I do not support all facets of my fandoms. I support the facets that can find the F7 key and write characters that sound like the characters. Shock and horror!
4. Seriously a pro-het quiz. Was no het fan ever insane and rabidly anti-yaoi?
5. Still, it's essentially true.
6. There were too many emoticons in the answers. My responses do not use emoticons.

Ground rules: The first player of this "game" starts with the topic "Five of My Weird Habits" and the people who get tagged need to then write a LJ entry about their five quirky little habits as well as state the rules of this game clearly. At the end, you need to list the five people you want to tag.
(
aerinth tagged me.)
1. When I have been using a pencil and it transpires that I need to use both hands, I will hold the pencil in my mouth. If I have to talk as well, I will stick the pencil in my braid, near the top. It looks like a crazy war-feather of the ancient whateverydos.
2. I am a compulsive correcter of grammar. Misplaced comma on my History quiz, which did indeed make the question unclear ("The son of the beheaded king, ____ was crowned" is much clearer than "The son of the beheaded king, _____, was crowned"), sends me into conniptions. I swear I twitched a couple times reading that test. Use! A! Sentence! For! Fill-Ins!
3. When I'm reading fanfic or original fic, I have a tendency to get up and pace back and forth, having a little conversation with myself/the characters mostly under my breath. Much hilarity, naturally, ensues from my family.
4. Despite being an American and the fact that American assessments prefer American English, I'm trying to teach myself British spelling. It's prettier, I swear! Also, I care about how "pretty" a word is.
5. My accent can travel depending on what show I've been watching lately, or even what show/other auditory medium I've been thinking about most. Quotes from said shows tend to come out in an approximation of the speaker's accent. Sometimes I even end up using that accent in normal speech, if it's on my mind.
My cat is using my laptop, I swear. He is sitting upright on my computer chair, staring at the dark screen of the laptop. I think he's controlling it with his mystical cat-powers.

Thesis: Tuesdays are better than Mondays.
Evidence: See above. Also, we got to retake yesterday's Evil History Quiz of Incomprehensible Fill-In Doom with our notes. That = good.
Conclusion: Thesis sustained.
