Oct. 17th, 2005 07:48 pmDid a lot over the weekend. Wrote two essays. Didn't go to Japanese class.
I've begun getting a plot sketch together for CoS, the NaNovel. With some luck, it'll be long enough with plot and the useful conversations.
One of the things I like most about this story is that the heroine is the static character. She's already done her growing up, and there's not much left to change, because I like her as she is. She doesn't find out anything about herself she wasn't looking for, she doesn't rule a nation, all the rules she breaks are rules she intended to break, and she manages to be driven without being obsessive. Yeah, she saves the world, in a way, but she set herself up for it.
Oh, and someone has a goddess-sent vision that she misinterprets horribly. Mwahah. And I have no idea how I will make two of the characters even begin to get along. Which is a good start.
I love being a writer.
