Midterms day 1 is OVER! Whee! Math was...far too easy. I never thought I'd say this, but thank God for Dr. Rankel, because it was thanks to her that I had a scientific calculator on hand when my graphing one ran out of batteries ten minutes in. It came around long enough for me to calculate the one equation I needed though, and it seems I know plenty about the graphs when I don't have a graph to stare at. I kept wondering, though, if there was a hard section I'd missed.
English was OMG the most boring EVER. On the plus side, the 25-minute essay was on how or whether the Odyssey should be considered as both adventure and moral thingummy, which was fun and I got to reference C.S. Lewis. Using outside sources=good for grade. And there was some poetry comparison, on which I spent and inordinate amount of time because I love the poems (Millay's Well, I have lost you, and Bishop's One Art). Then made up crud for Huck Finn and TKMA short-answers. Bottom line: Multiple choice would have been harder.
Chem tomorrow--must STUDY for this one. Bah.
The Muses have informed me that my next installment of the Odd Couple is going to be Sonomi/Maki. I do not know why. Okay, yes, I do--for many of the same reasons that Peacewish writes Fujitaka/Maki. Because damn, she looks like Nadeshiko, talks like Nadeshiko, is clumsy like Nadeshiko. But I honestly am growing to like the concept of Sonomi/Maki, which I hereby swear never to revert to initials. I think they might really get along and be good together. Which scares me like whoa. My Weird!OTP have no business growing on me this way.
