Hospitalization and, of course, Woe.

shiro_no_wired is saying is true. I dislocated my kneecap yesterday.
I didn't do a thing to it, either. I was walking, and over it went-Bam!-and so did I. It was really rather excruciatingly painful.
The ambulance was called (it took forever to come), and I was taken to the ER, where about five minutes got my kneecap back into place and another hour got me X-rayed and out of there. I'm back at school already, on crutches.
Apparently, I win major points for being a brave girl who did not scream, faint, have hysterics, or make things difficult, and was quite coherent and responsive the entire time. It seems I have guts. Good, now I know. Let's never find out again.
I now have 2 study halls rather than gym and one, which will be my only computer access for a few weeks (the computers are all upstairs at home. You get the picture, I'm sure), except maybe Saturdays getting dragged up and left there for a while.
So, splint--cannot bend left knee for 2 weeks. Crutches--ick. Pain. Really not good with them. Expect to have nervous breakdown.
