Events of an Eventous Nature.
Jul. 9th, 2004 09:46 amWent shopping with the Maternal Unit yesterday, yay! We bought two dresses (one of which I *will* fit into by next spring, I solemnly vow), and plan to come back for the others on Monday when they go to half price. I love consignment shops, I really do! I also got a pin in the shape of a gold feather with a circle of rhinestones around it. Ish pretty.
I can't find the Major Arcana from my Tarot decks (except Temperance, for some odd reason), and I know I put them somewhere when playing magician. Also, I remember seeing the little guidebook on what they all mean somewhere around, but now I can't find it. Grr.
As atonement for not liking him, this Togakushi challenge will be about Kamui. Because I feel just a liiiittle bit sorry that I don't like him enough.
Also, we went to the library. I packed the library basket to overflowing with just my own stuff. New Bradbury, and manga (X/1999:Overture, yay, I forgive them for not having what I want all the time!), and more Oz(all the ones left), and Agatha Christie, and I forget what all else. I love books, I really do.
Stole from sister and read Ranma 1/2 volume 21. This is what I think:
Cygna: Aaaaaareeeees! Heeeeermeeees!
Ares: *appears* What is it now, woman? I'm busy!
Hermes: *likewise appears* What's going...*sees book* Oh. Uh.
Cygna: Hermes, you got Ares involved with this series, didn't you?!
Hermes: Perhaps.
Ares: Well, he sure couldn't have thought that up on his own!
Cygna: Hermes, explain.
Hermes: *nervous* Well, I was bored, and there's only so much you can do with the same plot, and, and...yeah.
Cygna: So you were bored, and thus decided to create a new subfandom.
Ares: Oh, I wouldn't say *create*, they've been around for quite some time now. More...supporting them.
Cygna: I see. What am I going to do about you two?
Hermes: Let us go back to what you were doing?
Cygna: Maybe. On condition that you, Ares, start sending divine messages to bad Seto/Jou writers telling them to stop, and you, Hermes, do the same to the writers of bad gender-benders.
Hermes&Ares: WHAAAAT?!!
Cygna: Think of it as making your section look better.
Ares: How do you stand on smiting?
Cygna: How do you *think* I stand?
Ares: Right. Off I go. *smites random badficcer*
Hermes: Ahhh...about the whole Ranma thing...
Cygna: Oh, I'm not complaining. I think it was cute. *starryeyes* Their love is so...so...semicanonical!
Hermes: O-kay. Bye *skitters off*
Cygna: *still starryeyed* Wah...
