Considering
Mar. 15th, 2004 05:33 pmWhat's wrong with asking for reviews? Okay, I know what's wrong. It's the 'Pleez R&R Oky!!1!' that's wrong. But still.
How does one divide asking for feedback and garnering compliments? How does one request the former without it being mistaken for the latter?
I have decided to do it in the following way: Each story, pick something the quality of which I am not sure about and ask for feedback on whether it was good or not. As with my Chess story, if there's something new I did I want to know how it was. As with my Glasses story, if there's something I think needs to be changed I want to get a second opinion.
I think that's okay. It qualifies as asking for feedback in general rather than compliments. Besides, if I ask 'How can I improve this?', I'm way ahead of the people who say 'Plez rnr k?!!!1!!'
Ah, the moral thingummy of life.
