Night Garden
Deep within the dark night garden
Lies a dark red open bloom.
All the garden sleeps in shadow,
Undisturbed in nature's womb,
Save this single bloodred blossom
Glowing in the silent gloom.
None to see and none to marvel
At the color hid in shade.
In the morning all is normal,
Just another flowered glade.
But the dark night garden's flower-
Of such stuff are passions made!
